MYTH-UNDERSTANDING OF THE BODY
As long as I can remember, I would hear my mother and older people tell others what it meant if the right hand itches, or if the left eye jumped. For the most part, these omens came true.These women would tell to each other their dreams. Such as, if one dreams of false teeth was crushed, or a breaking of a tooth, death is on the way for a love one or some one who is close to you.. Weddings meant death, and death meant birth. To see money in your sleep , was an omen of a windfall; but if it consisted of coins, then poverty was to follow. I can remember sitting on my front porch, watching for women who was married to men who liked other men. I needed to know first hand what a substitute look like.
It was said, "if your right hand itch and you are right handed, some money or a letter of importance is coming to you." However if "your left hand itches and you are right handed, you are going to spend money or get a letter of bad news."
Here are additional understanding to what the body and omens tells the wise; and attempt to tell the skeptics.
Right Eye jumps: Good luck will come to you very soon.Take a chance, play that number.
Left Eye jumps: Bad new coming your way.
Right Ear rings: Someone is calling your name in a good way. Expect a phone call.
Nostrils burning: Someone is talking about you. Probably an old two- faced friend!
Sneezed while talking: What you said is the truth.
Right Foot itches: Going some place good that you never been.
Scalp tightens: Some who is going to die very soon, stopped by to say goodbye.
Do you want to know if your soul-mate is on the the up and up? There is ways to know if your man is on the "down. low" . I have followed these omen and found them to be pretty accurate. These men are whom I call g-r-e-e-d-y. I have renamed them as 'low down'. Either you are or you ain't. NOW!
Watch the man that wears:
A well trimmed skinny moustache.: Checked the close shaved beard as well.
Too, too much cologne: Unless he covering up some unpleasant......
Tight Jeans: Now the skinny is in, they live in it!
Colorful colors:
Now it wouldn't be fair to exempt the woman. There are women who are simply tomboys but love men. Then there the obvious who don't want anything to do with men. But what about those that lives like the "down low" men? What about those that have the "long third toe"? They are thought to be the domineering one, in any relationship. Now, now! Don't you go around checking women toe, because it wont tell you a thing, other than she is a woman whose third toe is longer than her big toe. Just maybe that particular female feels
more comfortable around the house wearing his boxers and his wife beaters. Then there are those who flex their muscles by bossing every and anyone that crosses their path. So feminine looking yet so very mannish acting. I'm just saying!
Oops! I just dropped my fork: Unexpected guest are coming to my house.
Sugar! I just dropped my serving spoon: A very big dissappointment coming my way.
Darn!I just dropped my teaspoon: Not too bad , just a small dissappointment.
Whoopsie! I just dropped and broke my last glass tumbler. Oh well, it 's time to go out and buy another set of glasses.

ARE YOU A BRAGGADOCIO?
No one likes a braggadocio! Have you ever been around a person who would break both arms patting themselves on the back? Usually you don't have to be introduced to them, because before long, they would've announced loudly, "I AM this VIP, THE BUCKS STOP HERE, YOU NEED ME. I CAN DO THAT! I'VE DONE THIS "...I and I and I and I. Tee-hee! Let's face it, most of us got a little of that in us, when we are around friends or family and you want to rib them with some cockiness.You let them get mad with you, and saying to self, 'ha ha, got em'! However, whenever you are around a braggadocio, the scene changes from funny to sickening or even pathetic.
It seems like in every conversation, 'I' or 'ME' comes out of their mouth. My mother had a name for such people. She would say, "they are afflicted with the disease "I-itis" and "ME-itis". There is no cure!
Jesus gave a parable for some who trusted in themselves and thought of themselves to be better than others. So He told the story of the Pharisee and the tax collector " Two men went up in the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a (tax collector) publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God I thank You that I am not like other men.....extortioners, unjust, adulterous or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week, I give tithes of all that I possess, (and on and on).
And the tax-collector (publican) standing afar off would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying God, be merciful to me a sinner! I tell you this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Luke 18: 9-14
We need to be known by what we do and not by what we say we do! There is a cure; Let others tell us that we are a Very Important Person.

WHEN IS A LIE NOT A LIE?
So, here I am sittting on the side of my bed, and a commercial comes on that catches my ears. I looked, and there are two little girls between the ages of three and six. They are curiously watching their mommy apply a cream on her face. One of them pipes up and said,"Mommy why are you putting that cream on your face"? "Oh to make me look younger", she replied. The next frame shows: The two girls with a container , a spatula and something or other in their tiny and precious little hands; and they are applying this cream quite thickly on the face of an old man asleep on the couch.As the old man stirs in his sleep, the pasty substance is smeared on the arm and the back of the couch,where his head lays. The younger blurted out with much glee, "Grandpa is going to be sooo happy when he wakes up!"
Oh such trusting innocence to believe that mommy told them the truth and wanted to share that secret of youth with their sleeping grandpa . Whether it it works or not, grandpa is going to be so surprise!
The commercial is cute, but, it spiraled into a lesson of deception. For we know that a mother would be the very last person who would deceive their children intentionally. Children naturally show dependence on their parents, so we as parents should respect that trusting attitude with our gratitude, with total truth. James 3:13-17 teaches that we should not boast and lie against the truth. This kind of wisdom do not come from God. If we want our little ones to have good conduct and morals in everything that they do or say, then we need not to teach deception and hypocrisy. True wisdom is unpretentious. For when it is not the truth, then it is untrue. When we speaks things that are untrue, then it is a lie. So then, When is a lie not a lie? When it is the truth!
Suffer the little children to come unto me, for such as is the kingdom of heaven. Mk. 10:14
